| Answer: Microsoft® Excel 2003 offers an easy way to copy data from one worksheet to another. Just follow the steps below from an example we created where grades are copied from "Kelly’s worksheet" to a "Grades worksheet." Let’s get started:
Open the workbook, and select the worksheet from where you want to copy the data. In this example, it’s the Kelly worksheet. You select a worksheet by clicking its tab in the lower left portion of the Excel window. The name of the active worksheet displays in bold.

Select the first cell of the data you want to copy. In this example, it is cell A3. This becomes the active cell. The Name box displays the cell identifier, and the formula bar displays the value of the cell.

Drag across the cells from which you want to copy data. In this case, it is cells A3 through E3.

Click the Copy button on the Standard Toolbar. This copies the contents to the Clipboard. The information in the selected cells remains intact, but is surrounded by a marquee outline which appears to move around the edge of the cells.

Click the sheet tab for the worksheet where you want to copy the data. In our example, it is the Grades tab.

The Grades worksheet appears as the active sheet. In this case, we would need to click cell B3, and then click the Paste button on the Standard toolbar.

The data you copied now appears in cells B3 through F3 in the Grades worksheet.

Congratulations! Now you see just how easy it is to copy data from one worksheet to another. |
