| from the Preface: This Primer is simply a reading book. It has been prepared, as far as possible, in accordance with the collective views of the teachers of the Province. Since opinions differ widely as to the best methods of teaching children to read, a new Manual on Primary Reading has been prepared, which indicates fully and clearly how the Primer may be used by the advocates of each of the prevailing methods of teaching. All teachers should read the new Manual carefully before they introduce the Primer to their classes. |
