National Jewish Book Award Winners
 
 

The National Jewish Book Award for Children's Picture Book (1983—2000) was presented to an author or illustrator of children's books which concerned Jewish themes. The award was administered by the Jewish Book Council. (Note: The last year for which an award was given was 2000.)

•  1989: Just Enough Is Plenty: A Hanukkah Tale by Barbara Diamond Goldin; illustrated by
              Erika Weihs

•  1988: Exodus by Miriam Chaikin; illustrated by Charles Mikolaycak

•  1987: Poems for Jewish Holidays by Myra Cohn Livingston; illustrated by Lloyd Bloom

•  1986: Brothers: A Hebrew Legend by Florence Freedman; illustrated by Robert Andrew Parker

•  1985: Mrs. Moskowitz and the Sabbath Candlesticks. Illustrated by Amy Schwartz

•  1984: No Award Presented

•  1983: Yussel's Prayer: A Yom Kippur Story by Barbara Cohen; illustrated by Michael J. Deraney
