New School Year Ideas

Go for the Gold!

With the Summer Olympics coming up, why not plan your beginning-of-the-year activities with an Olympic theme? Four years ago, we had our own "Opening Ceremonies," with each homeroom as a different country. We included many multicultural aspects into the ceremony, had our orchestra play, and had every student in the school in the opening "Parade of Athletes." Many curricular lessons can also be tied into the Olympics.
