Simple Storage for Bulletin Board Letters

Store your individual letters in a photo album! Get one that has either the 3" x 5" or 4" x 6" plastic pockets. Then, alphabetize and store!

Canned Borders

To keep your bulletin board borders looking great each year, store them rolled in an empty canned frosting can. Most have a see through lid that you can tell what you have in there.

Detergent Box Files

The large laundry detergent boxes are perfect for storing magazines, files, and more. Simply wipe out the empty box with a slightly damp rag. Cut off the top. Then, make a diagonal cut from the top left-hand corner to approximately the other side. Do this again for the back side of the box. Wrap the box in colorful contact paper. You can also cover the box in white butcher paper or even paper grocery bags then have students decorate.

Round Oatmeal Boxes

These boxes are perfect containers for rulers, pencils, pens, crayons, etc. Simply cut the box down to the size you need and decorate.

Other Free Storage Solutions

Try these tidy ideas:

-Cans with lids can hold all sorts of small items, including center components such as buttons, etc.
-Tall potato chip cans hold pencils, pens, markers, and paint brushes.
-Use tall tissue boxes to dispense plastic bags.
-Hang a plastic shoe storage bag on the side of your file cabinet. Keep small items that you use daily in the pockets.
-5-gallon ice cream buckets make handy storage containers.

Cover Those Unsightly Boxes of Supplies

Simply hang a colorful shower curtain or large piece of fabric from the ceiling in front of the supplies. This covers the supplies and brightens the room.
